The competition among the best Iranian amateur astronomers to observe all Messier objects in one night will be held on March 6th 2008 (16 Esfand 1386, according to the Iranian solar calendar) in an ancient village called Meser in Isfahan Province.

The sky for all of us... (Astronomy Day)

As announced by the Astronomical Society of Iran, Amateur Committee (ASIAC) the astronomy day in Iran for the year 2007 (1386 Iranian calendar) will be held on Friday the 20th of April and the astronomy week is officially announced to be from the 14th to the 20th April.
